Privacy policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy explains what personal information Stackstall ("we", "us") collects, why, and how we handle it. We aim to follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), and to collect as little as we can.
What we collect
- Email signups. If you sign up for our newsletter or a free download, we collect your email address (and your first name if you choose to give it). We use it to send what you asked for and occasional emails about tools for digital product sellers. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- Emails you send us. If you contact us, we keep your message and email address so we can reply.
- Technical data. Our website host may record standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, for security and performance. We don't use these logs to identify you.
- Analytics. At the time of writing we don't run third-party analytics or advertising trackers. If we add privacy-friendly analytics later, we'll update this page.
Affiliate links and cookies
When you click an affiliate link, you go to the vendor's website, and that vendor (or its affiliate network) may set a cookie so it can credit us if you sign up. Those cookies belong to the vendor and are covered by its own privacy policy. We receive reports of referrals and commissions, but not your payment details.
Who we share it with
We don't sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with services that help us run the site, such as our email platform and our website host, and only as needed for them to provide that service. Some of these providers store data outside Australia (for example, in the United States). We choose providers with published privacy and security practices.
We may disclose information if required by law.
Keeping it secure
We use reputable providers and take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, though, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in any email.
- Ask us what personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing [email protected].
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we've handled your information, email us first and we'll respond within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
Changes
We'll update this page if our practices change, and change the date at the top.
